Pagoda Labs is a product-driven software company building secure, multi-tenant, and scalable SaaS solutions that power real-world business operations. Our in-house product suite includes a Dealer Management System (DMS) for order, stock, billing and dealer performance management; a Clinic Management System (CMS) for patient appointments, EMR/treatment records, and billing; a Human Resource Management System (HRMS) covering the complete employee lifecycle from onboarding and attendance to payroll and performance; and a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for inventory control, stock entry, and order processing. These are mission-critical products used by businesses daily, where quality isn’t just a feature — it’s the foundation.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a detail-obsessed Product QA Engineer who will own the quality of our entire product suite. You will be responsible for ensuring our products work flawlessly for complex operational workflows – where a billing error, payroll miscalculation, or stock mismatch has real business impact. This is NOT a fresher role. We need someone who can start testing immediately.

What You Will Own

1. Own Product Quality
Test real business workflows: order-to-billing, patient visit-to-billing, attendance-to-payroll, stock-in-to-dispatch. You will write clear test plans, test cases, and edge cases focused on business logic, not just button clicks. Validate calculations, role-permissions, and reports where accuracy is non-negotiable.
2. Manual + API + Data Testing (70% of the role)
Thorough manual testing of new features and complex scenarios. API testing using Postman / REST Assured. Strong SQL validation (MySQL/PostgreSQL) to ensure transactional data is correct.
3. Automation for Regression (30% of the role)
Maintain and expand our automation suite for high-risk areas like billing, payroll, and inventory. You don’t need to build a framework from scratch, but you should be comfortable writing reliable scripts in Selenium / Playwright / Cypress with Java or Python, and running them in CI/CD (GitHub Actions).
4. Collaborate & Ship
Log clear bugs in Jira with reproduction steps and business impact. Work directly with developers and product managers in sprints. Be part of release readiness.

What We’re Looking For – The Practical Stuff:

• Experience: 2+ years in QA for web-based products. At least 1+ year hands-on in automation.
• Must-Have Skills: Strong manual QA mindset for complex workflows (ERP / HRMS / DMS / HMS / FinTech experience is a big plus), API Testing (Postman), SQL for data validation, Automation with Selenium/Playwright/Cypress + Java/Python basics, Git, Jira, Agile.
• Mindset: You can think like a dealer, clinic receptionist, HR manager, and warehouse admin. You are detail-obsessed, you learn fast, and you can dive into a new product without needing months of training.
• AI-Assisted QA: Comfortable using tools like GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude to speed up test case writing, test data generation, and debugging – while understanding data privacy for sensitive domains (patient, payroll, financial data).
• Education: Bachelor’s in CS/IT or related field preferred with strong practical experience.
